Assistant Principal

Mr. Hunter joined Winter Springs High School during the 16-17 school year and is responsible for the ESE, Student Services and Career and Technical Education departments. He is the Principal’s Designee and is the AP Coordinator. Mr. Hunter worked for three years as an Assistant Principal at Crooms Academy of Information Technology in Sanford and four years as a math teacher and Dean at Hagerty High School in Oviedo. Prior to moving to Seminole county, he worked as a math teacher in Southern California for several years. Originally from the Detroit area, Mr. Hunter earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in Education Leadership from the American College of Education.

Mr. Hunter loves spending time with his wife Julie and their two young children, Avery and Miles. He enjoys running and cycling and is an Ironman Triathlon finisher. He is a proud member of the Winter Springs High School family and is looking forward to a great year.
