Winter Springs High School is the recipient of a $2.7 million grant to create the Bear Brigade Fire Academy! The Bear Brigade Fire Academy will feature a comprehensive curriculum in firefighting beginning in ninth grade and transitioning to dual enrollment courses through Seminole State College.

The on-time application period for Middle and High School Magnet Programs as well as for High School Programs of Emphasis for the 2026-2027 school year begins on Oct 1 and ends on December 1.
